Julie and Justin put on their first ever “Drewfest” in memory of both Julie’s mother, Bonnie and Justin’s brother, Andrew (Drew). Both Bonnie and Drew died from the disease of depression. Julie and Justin wanted to “do something” after these losses and make a difference in their community in memory of their loved ones.
Drewfest was held on October 8th, 2023 at Buck & Honey’s in Monona, WI. The event has raised over $44,000 to date and The CEKF was able to grant funds received from Drewfest to Edgewood College and Journey Mental Health Center, Inc. These grants will impact those in attendance at Edgewood College and those in need of mental health crisis and resource services – both in the Madison area.
